NBSC ENGAGES IN NATIONAL CONSULTATION ON FACULTY RECLASSIFICATION GUIDELINES
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) demonstrated its active involvement in sector-wide initiatives through the attendance of Dr. Mary Cris J. Go, Director of the Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID), and Mr. Alven L. Gomez, Director of the Community Extension Services Division (CESD), at a public orientation and consultation on the revised and enhanced guidelines under the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM-CHED) Joint Circular No. 3, Series of 2022, on November 13-14, 2025. Representatives from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) were present to receive updates pertinent to the circular.
Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722, or the “Higher Education Act of 1994,” the Office of Institutional Quality Assurance and Governance (OIQAG) organized the event at the CHED Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Higher Education Development Center (HEDC) Building, C.P. Garcia Avenue, U.P. Diliman, Quezon City. Resource speakers outlined key considerations for compliance and provided explanations on how the circular aligns with broader quality assurance efforts in higher education. The discussions focused on the framework governing the reclassification of faculty positions, a measure designed to ensure consistency in personnel standards across SUCs.
NBSC’s participation allows the institution to gather timely information that informs upcoming plans and administrative adjustments, while supporting efforts to refine internal systems. Insights gained from the activity may also guide NBSC in enhancing program offerings and strengthening its role in community engagement.
